Detail of one of the roof of one of the blackhouses, they were called blackhouses as the smoke apparently made the inside black as chimneys weren't that common and the smoke filtered through the thatch.
Stayed at Garennin one night of torrential downpour, then walked around the headland for several miles with a large army pack, almost slipping over the cliffs as it still was so wet...I think I now know why I like B&Bs!
